David W. Donovan is the founder, Music Director
and Conductor of the Lebanon Symphony Orchestra & Chorus.
A native of Lebanon, Maestro Donovan received his musical training
at the Ohio State University and Wright State University where
he studied conducting with Maurice Casey, Donald McGinnis, Hank
Dahlman and Jeff Traster.
He has continued his family's 50 plus year tradition of teaching
music in the Lebanon City School District, has been a guest conductor
at choral festivals, is an adjudicator with the Ohio Music Education
Association and is a member of the Voice Care Network.
Recently, Maestro Donovan was featured in the
October issue of CinyBusiness
Magazine in reference to the emergence of "suburban

Maestro Donovan has two sons, Grahm & Brody, two step-children
Jennifer and Austin and currently resides in the Lebanon area
with his wife Carol and their pet menagerie of - a bunny (bufford),
a few cats (Tater, Stumpie & PC and
the outside crew; who found us - Murray, Tippy & Gray Guy) a
couple of pups --- Nala, lady and the youngest Bella -
a one and a half year old West Highland White Terrier.....look
